The rectangular Argentum Eco W3 Wall/ Ceiling Lamp for diffused or indirect lighting was created by Theodor Neumaier for Prandina, the renowned Italian lighting design manufacturer.
Prandina is the 2012 winner of the grandesignEtico Award, an award they copped courtesy of their Hanoi table lamp. The company’s creative philosophy is to produce effective and recognizable lamps that meet the criteria of simplicity, functionality and lasting quality. The Italian lighting design company work along with both established and emerging Italian and foreign designers. In addition to working with glass, the company’s main product material, they now experiment with incorporating different materials such as brass, aluminium, stainless steel, fabric and polypropylene, polycarbonate and fibreglass to develop products that satisfy the company’s design strategy.
The Argentum Eco W3 Wall/ Ceiling Lamp is the smallest in the Argentum wall and ceiling lighting series and produces a soft light that makes it ideal as a mood or general lighting. The dimensions of the lamp are 13.5 x 27 x 9.5 cm. The support is made from matt white painted metal and the diffuser, though transparent inside, is made of sandblasted crystal with a crystal front screen. The W3 is fitted with a built-in non-dimmable electronic component. The lateral glass diffusers and front screen are available in opal white glass or mirrored.
